Kasper Kristiansen

Kasper Kristiansen aka kaspergiraffe (b. 2001 in Asker, Norway) is a Norwegian conceptual artist working across painting, fashion, design, and other visual projects. Coming from a background shaped by skateboarding, fashion, and music, his practice has developed through different creative environments, from independent projects to working alongside artists and musicians.

His paintings often take inspiration from everyday situations, personal experiences, objects, and images he comes across. Familiar subjects are reworked through strong colors, rough brushwork, and a direct, intuitive way of painting. Visible marks, imperfections, and the physical texture of the paint are kept as part of the finished work.

Kaspergiraffe’s wider practice moves between art and design, with ideas often carrying from one medium into another. Humor, nostalgia, discomfort, and personal references appear throughout the work, reflecting an interest in the strange and ordinary parts of contemporary life.
